Itinerary

Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival at Split airport, our driver will transfer you to your local accommodations in the center of Split. After settling in, head into Old Town to begin your immersion into local life in Croatia. The best way to do this? Relax in one of Split’s many street cafes.

Partake in one of the daily activities in the life of Split local: going to the markets! First visit the Peškarija–the gourmet city Fish market—and get acquainted with fresh Adriatic seafood. Choose some items based on advice given by your local guide and then head to the Green market, where vendors offer you goat cheese, traditional pršut and other authentic products. It can be a colorful, comical and unforgettable experience. Purchase some additional groceries there and end in a local restaurant where a chef will prepare all the fresh ingredients into your own personally curated lunch menu.

Embark on an adventure to neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina to historically and culturally rich Mostar. You’ll learn about the direct impact the Yugoslav war of the 1990s had on Mostar. In fact, you can still see remnants of the war on many of the buildings in the city. Today, Mostar is an incredibly popular and safe place to visit.

While there, you will see firsthand the difference between Christian and Ottoman architecture as well as a mix of the different cultures. Enjoy the street side cafes lining cobblestone streets, and of course see the picturesque 16th century Old Bridge which crosses the Neretva River.

Upon leaving Mostar, you’ll stop at a family farmstead where it’s time to sample the local cuisine. Popular menu items here are a variety of kebabs, baklavas, Cevapi (finger shaped ground meat balls) and Turkish coffee.

From there, you’ll take the local roads to the gorgeous Kravice Falls to see this natural karst wonder. You’ll have time to explore this area at your leisure, whether that means swimming in the falls, taking a boat ride, or practicing your photography at one of the many viewpoints.

Get ready for a day filled with food! Today we’ll be tasting local delicacies (including wine!) at small, family-owned establishments. Our first stop is at an olive grove where we will learn about olives and their importance in Croatian culture. The food journey continues to a honey farm where we’ll have the opportunity to learn about how honey is made, the importance of bees, and try some of the sweets made on the farm.

Up next, we’ll visit a local vineyard to learn about natural wine production before enjoying wine paired with local traditional delicacies. End the day with one final stop to sample some unique sweets exclusive to Hvar.

Full day private Hvar Island Experience with lunch and tastings

The day is free to explore Hvar Town Hvar town at your leisure. We recommend soaking in the view of the archipelago from the top of the Spanish fortress, finding a chill secret beach or joining in the fun at one of the lively beach clubs. Alternatively spend the afternoon sipping coffee while people watching in a local cafe.

This evening, we’ll take a boat to a nearby island for a lovely dinner at a small family owned restaurant set in a simple stone building amongst olive trees. Everything is fresh and made to perfection. Be sure to follow the house recommendation. You won’t regret it!

Enjoy a fast ferry ride to Dubrovnik, the Jewel of the Adriatic. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our driver and taken to your local accommodations. You’ll have the afternoon free to explore Old Town or relax in your hotel by the sea.

In the early evening, head to the old town for a private walking tour where you’ll learn about the rich history of Dubrovnik as you walk through centuries-old polished stone walkways and promenades. Afterwards, take your pick of any of the excellent local restaurants and dine amongst bygone palaces and old architecture.

The best of Croatia comes together today on a full day boat excursion to three of Dubrovnik’s neighboring islands complete with swimming in crystal clear waters, indulging in traditional food, and being amazed by unimaginable beauty.

After a morning filled with snorkeling in sunlit caves and relaxing on sandy beaches, lunch will be prepared and served on board. Luxuriate in the sounds of the sea while washing it all down with some homemade wine–just like the locals do!
