Today is a full day private excursion to the Istrian Interior to explore the medieval hilltop villages of Motovun and Groznjan.

The day begins with a stunning drive along the west coast of Croatia into the lush Motovun Forest. The town of Motovun is surrounded by the Mirna River Valley which is brimming with the most expensive mushroom in the world, the Tuber Magnatum Pico, more commonly known as the white truffle.

In Motovun, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a truffle tasting or a course truffle lunch with a cold glass of Malvazija, a white wine from this region. After lunch there will be more time for sightseeing in Motovun before our journey continues to Grožnjan. Grožnjan is known as the artist’s village so you will find a number of small boutiques, studios, and galleries lining the medieval alleys.
