Itinerary
Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival at the Zagreb airport, your driver will meet you at baggage claim and transfer you to your hotel for the next two nights in Zagreb’s city center. After settling in, begin your Croatian experience by unwinding in a small cafe and soaking up the atmosphere of Croatia’s vibrant capital city.
Today, immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and flavors of Zagreb. You’ll start the day at Zagreb’s oldest marketplace, Dolac. There you’ll have a chance to sample soft and hard cheeses, traditional salamis, prosciutto, wine and a popular local appetizer called štrukli. You’ll visit parts of the upper and town and hear the stories of two settlements which eventually merged into one. You’ll end this “feast for the senses” with a special regional lunch typically reserved for holidays–what a treat! Round out the day with coffee and cake from one of Zagreb’s favorite confectionaries.
Half day private Historic tour and Foodie Experience with tastings
Leave the energetic city behind and head to rural Lika where you’ll find unspoiled natural beauty, tiny river villages and even storks’ nests. Among all of this magnificence is the incredible Plitvice Lakes National Park, known for its 16 lakes, waterfalls, and as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the well-kept trails and pristine brilliance of this natural wonder. After, continue to Šibenik for an evening arrival
After, we’ll continue to Šibenik for an evening arrival.
Entrance fees to Plitvice Lakes National Park
Today we get to share with you one of our favorite coastal towns–Šibenik. Its picturesque seaside promenade, stone paved squares, side streets, hilltop fortresses, restaurants, cafes are a build up to the Cathedral of St. James, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over the centuries it’s been the home to acclaimed inventors, scientists, actors & sportspeople and the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere adds to its overall charm. You’ll hear all about the local history, customs & trivialities and have ample free time to explore on your own and take in the ambiance.
Free time can be spent hiking up to the Barone fortress for a stunning view of the neighboring islands, sea kayaking to secret coves, or attending an event at the St. Mihovil fortress—if you can catch one, it’s a treat!
90-minute private walking tour
Head to the famous port city of Split with your new local best friend. Learn about current day life in Croatia as well as what it was like during the Homeland War, which occurred less than thirty years ago. After you arrive in Split, you’ll stash your luggage and go on an orientation walk of the pedestrianized Old Town—also known as Diocletian’s Palace. Our guide will give you the complete 411 on all the best local spots. Savor the rest of the afternoon on your own for lunch and exploring the nooks and crannies of the Palace before your evening departure to the island of Hvar via fast ferry.
1-hour private Split Insider Experience
Luxuriate in a day free of any preplanned activities and embrace living like a local. In Croatia, “pomalo” is a way of life. The word literally means, “slow down”, “relax”, “take it easy.” Croatians much prefer taking it easy to rushing around so keep this theme in mind as you go about your day. Take a dip in the Adriatic and listen to the quiet sounds of the sea. Or, if you want to get your body moving, hike up to the Spanish Fortress for a stunning view of the neighboring Pakleni Islands.
In the evening, take a private boat along the southside of the island, passing many coves and cliffs, to an excellent local winery located directly on the water. Here, you’ll enjoy a tasting of their outstanding wines along with locally sourced prosciutto, cheeses, and the freshest octopus salad. Be sure to check out the underwater cellar where they age their wines. Enjoy the sunset on your return to Hvar Town.
Al fresco wine tasting experience with light dinner and private boat transfers
Prepare yourself for a day of adventure! We will sail to the stunning emerald jewels of Croatia, the Pakleni Islands. This chain of islands is visible from the town of Hvar but you’ll have the opportunity to experience them up close. Spend the day uncovering hidden beaches and lagoons and swimming in the crystal clear water, all from the comfort of your privately chartered sailboat.
Half day (6 hours) private Sailing Experience
Morning departure for Dubrovnik, the Jewel of the Adriatic. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our driver and taken to your local accommodations. You’ll have the rest of the day free to head to the Old Town or enjoy your hotel and sparkling sea views.
This morning, enjoy a private guided walking tour of Old Town Dubrovnik, the most well-preserved medieval city in Europe. Afterwards you’ll have ample time to wander through town at your leisure finding your own favorite corners of this magical city. Your guide can provide recommendations, however a few of our favorite things to do in Dubrovnik are walk the Old City walls, ride the cable car to the top of Srd Hill, explore nearby Lovrijenac Fortress.
